Built in 1928 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine by BW Rand’s Boat Shop, this classic wooden yacht was originally named Priscilla and commissioned for the Teel family of Boston, MA. Prior to Priscilla, Rand had built a Sam Crocker design with a raised deck and saw opportunities to refine the layout for smoother, more spacious cruising.
Using borrowed molds, the shop adjusted spacing, extended the cabin top, and redesigned the stern — creating what would become a timeless New England charter yacht. With a displacement hull, Temma was never built for speed, but for stability, comfort, and effortless style on the water. With her smooth lines and authentic craftsmanship, Temma is the perfect choice for those seeking a private yacht charter in Newport, RI. Over the years, she has been lovingly maintained by families dedicated to preserving her legacy.

All private yacht charters depart from the dock at Perotti Park Marine Terminal, centrally located in downtown Newport, RI. Our boarding location is right beside the corner of Long Wharf Mall and America’s Cup Avenue, directly across from the Brenton Hotel.
